clouds of hope

The big round, oval shapes up in the shy that block the sunlight and refuse to let it shine.
The things that hold rain and release it so it can pour. And sprinkle water all over us, even when we don’t want it anymore.
They cast big shadows that bring shade and are the very things that allow the sunlight to fade.
on nights you can’t find the moon or the light it proclaims, the clouds are to blame.
They shield the moonlight and all of the stars and leave us with darkness and nothing but sorrow.
But what if we need the darkness to shine?
As the days get shorter and colder, and the sun refuses to shine,
Remember, like stars…
We cannot shine without darkness.
If you find yourself feeling stuck,
look at the sky and let the clouds remind you that everything changes.
With our good and our bad days, one thing always remains true. No cloud is TOO dark that the sun can’t shine through.
We live in a society that continuously stigmatizes mental illness. Yet, it it proven that shorter days and less sunlight contribute to an increase in depression, anxiety, and mental illness.
It is okay not to feel okay right now. It is okay to struggle getting out of bed.
Just like the clouds, you’re feeling dark and stormy.
You can’t find the light.
This is a soft reminder that sometimes when you’re in a dark place, you think you’ve been buried but actually you’ve been planted.
Just like flowers grow from rain, you too grow from your pain.
Where there is no struggle there is no strength and with struggle, you’ll come to see that “illness” becomes “wellness” when we replace the I with we.
If we could all remember, it is times like these where we experience seasonal change and change in weather… that we could really benefit from coming together.
Just like our eyes, our hearts have a way of adjusting to the dark.
Darkness gives you power & strength to empower.
Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of.
Like storm clouds or a rain shower, the greater your storm, the brighter your rainbow.
And remember, you need both the sun and the rain to make all of its colors appear,
Yours Trulee <3
